Simple ideas to improve your lifestyle and wellbeing
I added a few of my own touches to Cathy's Spelt for Health Flapjack mix. If you do not have access to this mix you can make your own flapjack mix with oats, your choice of flour and seeds. This requires little prep and baking time. To make your own flapjack mix:
Combine 350g/12 oz of oats with 75g/2.6 oz of flour (wheat, spelt, GF) Add your choice of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, coconut flakes etc. Using the Spelt Mix:
Pat the mix together and divide between 12 cupcake papers. (The directions on the package say to place into a greased pan, then slice when baked. I prefer cupcake sized bites. Its neater and easier to eat on the go). Bake at 160°C/350°F for 15 minutes. Place on the rack and let cool for 10 minutes. *Option to add chocolate chips, nuts etc. I bake these before festivals since they are a filling treat that does not require much time or energy to make. They go perfectly after breakfast, lunch or dinner. These can last up to a week stored in an air tight container.
