Simple ideas to improve your lifestyle and wellbeing
About the SiteMy name is Nora Donahue (Norny for short) and I learned to cook four years ago when I moved to Dublin to do my Masters in Public Health. Before that, I watched my mom cook my whole life and had a fear of cooking by myself. Surprisingly, I learned to love cooking and became braver with trying new recipes, improvising along the way.
I often have friends and family asking me for my recipes. Half of the time, I don't document them or write them down! I pride myself on being able to adapt recipes to specific dietary requirements. Subsequently, I have adapted my cooking to a healthy diet (as close to nature as possible) which is digestive friendly for me in particular (an avoidance of dairy and eggs and low gluten). My diet adapts seasonally: emphasizing fresh and local fruit and vegetables in the spring and summer. In the colder seasons, I gravitate towards more cooked, grounding root vegetables. Everyone's gut can tolerate different foods, so pay attention to what works and what doesn't work with you. |

Along with recipes, I have knowledge of herbs, supplements and their health benefits. My focus is on promoting health and empowering people to make wholesome choices.
I have recently relocated from Dublin to Vancouver to pursue a Holistic Nutrition course. Click below for more information on the program:
I am studying Integrative Energy Healing part time at Langara College. This is complimentary to both yoga and nutrition and is based on different energy modalities including the chakra system and yoga philosophy.
