Simple ideas to improve your lifestyle and wellbeing
My Healing Journey
For many years, I lived with IBS that worsened with time. Rather ironically, I got very sick while I was doing a Masters in Public Health. Going the conventional route, I was told information that went against itself, also known as "double think":
"There is nothing wrong with you, there is no explanation for your symptoms."
&
"You have a painful chronic condition you will live with for the rest of your life."
I struggled with these diagnoses. I knew something was off, after all I was in pain, had no energy and was always sick, physically, mentally and emotionally.
In early 2015, I decided to make my health a top priority. I went against the advice of my medical doctor and did a food intolerance test (IgG antibody blood test) in Dublin. I found this test extremely beneficial since it highlighted my trigger foods and I adjusted my diet accordingly. The inflammation in my body decreased almost immediately.

Career Moves...
During my transition from graduating to starting my career in public health, I took up a part-time yoga teacher training program. I wanted to explore ways to help improve my health and ways to share this knowledge with others. I secured a job working between the Radiology Departments of 2 large inner city hospitals in Dublin. This was a great experience where I learned the inner-workings of hospitals, yet I was not satisfied being on the treatment side of health.
I took my 200hr yoga teacher training on weekends and once I qualified I began to teach on evenings or weekends. It was after this I decided to make the full jump and move to Vancouver to commit myself to my passion: holistic health.
The week I graduated from my holistic nutrition program, I registered for an Integrative Energy Healing program which I completed 2 years later. I combine all 3 modalities to share simple ways wellness can be sustained in daily life.

I now manage symptoms through diet and other adjustments, which is my motivation to continue with this lifestyle. I hope that this platform provides inspiration, support and education for those that do.
